Why should I buy a double dog leash?

Many cities have rules against using leashes over six feet on public sidewalks. Thus a length of four to six feet is ideal. If you want complete control of your dog in a confined space, a leash no longer than four feet can do the trick. Leashes that are six feet long allow your dog to move freely without dragging the leash.

What dogs walk well together on a double leash?

You want to walk dogs with similar energy levels and walking speeds on your double leash. If you walk dogs with different speeds or curiosity levels - one who stops and sniffs and one who does not - your pets will get irritated by the other's preferences. Your slower dog may also get tired faster, leaving your active dog wanting more exercise. You can definitely walk your pups together, but two leashes may let them move and explore at their own pace.

Should I use a double leash while running?

Double leashes with hands-free functions are perfect for running with your dogs. If you had a leash in each hand, you would not be able to swing your arms properly and would risk being pulled in two directions. With a double leash on you hip, you're all set to run without concern.
